Willie Norris left his imprint on the 7-3 Beaumont win against the Hudsonville Flanderses. Norris, who is tied for 10th in the PA- in triples with 2, went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The Crossbeaus are now 34-26, while the Flanderses fall to 30-30.
The Crossbeaus benefited from a costly error in the top of the second. With Jerome Powers at bat and Beaumont leading 1-0, the Hudsonville miscue allowed Beaumont to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Hudsonville manager Mark Davis.
