Seppo Seppänen never let Hudsonville get something going. The Beaumont right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Crossbeaus to a 4-0 win. The win puts the Crossbeaus at 33-26, while the Flanderses drop to 30-29.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, Herman Taylor's at-bat in the top of the 11th was vitally important. With one out, the Beaumont first baseman hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 1-0 lead.

"The vibe's good," said Beaumont manager Steve Ferguson. "We've got to keep it going."
