Otters Win at Hicksville, 4-3
|
Tulsa Otters starter Marcus Weaver was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Hicksville Hounds, 4-3. George Gwyther recorded the save for Tulsa, his 1st of the season. Hicksville's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Tulsa used the clutch hitting of Chris Grimes to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Otters ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Grimes told the Tulsa News.
