The New Orleans Voodoo did just enough to sneak past the Buffalo White Walkers, 4-3, at Beyond the Wall. New Orleans pitcher Marty Taylor, in particular, had a standout performance. Taylor, now 2-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Tim Strong was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
With one out in the top of the second, Pancho Hernández put New Orleans in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Voodoo went on to win the ballgame.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
With the loss, Buffalo is 10-4.
