The Redwood Rhinos defeated the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 6-4, in USPL Low A action at The Target. Redwood pitcher Rodrigo Romano had a standout performance. Redwood pitcher Armand Pépin got the win. He's now 1-0. Quincy Rose was tagged with the loss. The triumph makes Redwood 13-42.

Redwood used the timely hitting of Arthur Pate to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rhinos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Romano.
