Hounds Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Crossbeaus, 4-3

Hicksville picked up a win at The Target, bumping off the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 4-3. Pitcher Javier Dávila was a major reason the Hounds emerged victorious. Hicksville reliever José Cruz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Yok-sing Zhou was saddled with the loss. Hicksville, with the win, climbs to 16-31.
Hicksville needed the clutch hitting of Keith Long to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hounds on top, 4-3. For the game, Long had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Javier is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Hicksville manager Oliver Burrell.
