Crossbeaus Pick Up 4-2 Road Win Over Quebec City
The Beaumont Crossbeaus had to overcome a fine effort from Quebec City pitcher Ignacio Rodríguez to grab a narrow 4-2 win at Dylan Park. Rodríguez went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Beaumont pitcher Quincy Rose got the win. He's now 4-0. Ignacio Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. Beaumont goes to 24-17, Quebec City to 28-13.

Beaumont used the bat of Herman Taylor to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Crossbeaus ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

Taylor told the Beaumont Daily: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
