Puffer Fish Take Down Rhinos, 6-2
|
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish got a stellar performance from pitcher Don House, who handcuffed the Redwood offense en route to a win, 6-2, at The Zoo. Jesús Ochoa earned the save for Plattsburgh, his 1st of the year. Today's win puts Plattsburgh at 23-17, while Redwood falls to 12-28.
Plattsburgh used the clutch hitting of Fakhiri Abdul-Hakim to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Puffer Fish the lead, 4-2. For the game, Abdul-Hakim had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Abdul-Hakim told the Plattsburgh Gazette.
