The Beaumont Crossbeaus got a stellar performance from pitcher Quincy Rose, who handcuffed the Hicksville offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Hound Pound. In 6.1 innings, Rose surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Beaumont is in 4th place in the Premier Low A with a record of 16-11.
With Beaumont leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Jun-seok Kyo hit a 2-run single off Hicksville pitcher Javier Dávila. It put the Crossbeaus ahead 3-0.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Kyo told the Beaumont Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
