Puffer Fish Win, 6-4, Extend Hot Streak

Mario Hernández was outstanding against Beaumont. The left-hander, who is tied for 8th in the PA- in strikeouts with 39, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Puffer Fish 6-4 win. Su-hyeon Song, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Mario Noceda earned the save for Plattsburgh, his 6th of the year.
Plattsburgh took a 5-4 lead on John Harris's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Harris hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Beaumont pitcher António Rivera shaking his head.
"Mario was able to execute his pitches," said Plattsburgh manager Wallace James. "Simple as that."
The wins continue to add up for Plattsburgh, with the latest making it 11 in a row.
