Seahawks Take Tight Tilt, 4-3
|
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Richie Vickers, the Myrtle Beach Seahawks defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-3. Vickers was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI for the Seahawks. Ze-dong Jiao came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-7. Myrtle Beach has 3 straight wins, Idaho Falls 3 straight losses.
Francisco León was the walk-off hero for Myrtle Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Seahawks catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
