Brody Plays Big Role in San Mateo Win
|
Lang Park was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
San Mateo got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jeremy Brody, who frustrated Northern Virginia hitters en route to a 2-0 Dirty Reds triumph at Lang Park. Michael Donovan finished to wrap up his 6th save.
Brody ran roughshod over the Northern Virginia lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 2-2 on the season.
"Jeremy was able to execute his pitches," said San Mateo manager David Dodds. "Simple as that."
The win has San Mateo at 8-6.
