Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Seahawks
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks defeated the Eugene Vandals, 3-2, in USPL Single A action at The Riot Zone. Myrtle Beach pitcher José Benítez had a standout performance. Myrtle Beach reliever Gil James picked up the win to move to 5-3. Sjaak Kiene suffered the loss. The 4th-place Seahawks go to 45-39.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Carlo Delogu to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Seahawks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Against this team here, fangs out late in the game, it's nice to beat them," said Myrtle Beach skipper Kyle Myers.
