The Myrtle Beach Seahawks grabbed a win, 5-4, over the Eugene Vandals at The Riot Zone. Myrtle Beach third baseman Tom White was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Myrtle Beach reliever Ze-dong Jiao picked up the win, upping his record to 2-6. Sergio Carrasco was saddled with the loss. The Seahawks sit in 4th place in the Premier A with a record of 44-38.
White had a timely hit for Myrtle Beach in the top of the sixth. With Eugene trailing 4-1, he turned a 1-0 slider into a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Myrtle Beach.
White told a Myrtle Beach Citizen reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
