Late Magic Gets Tulsa 5-3 Win
|
The Tulsa Otters grabbed a win, 5-3, over the Redwood Rhinos at Ballpark of Hughesville. Tulsa catcher Juan Guevara went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Carl Bell, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. The loss lowers the Redwood record to 4-11.
Guevara came through with some timely hitting for Tulsa. With Redwood trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Guevara hit a full count fastball for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season made it 5-3, Tulsa.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Guevara told the Tulsa News. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
