Athletic Club KC got a big-time effort from pitcher Julián Elscudero, but it wasn't enough to keep the Hicksville Hounds from winning the game, 4-3. Elscudero threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Hicksville reliever Miguel Águila picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Richie Lems was saddled with the loss. Athletic Club KC now has a record of 6-8.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Hicksville right fielder Harry Stewart, facing Soon-yul Yi, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Hounds the 4-3 win.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Athletic Club KC manager Justin Moore, "let me know."
