Chukars Rally For 4-3 Win

The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks got a superb performance from pitcher Jorge Souza. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Idaho Falls. The Chukars won the game, 4-3. Souza threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. John Collins, now 3-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 1.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Idaho Falls third baseman Pepe González, facing Ze-dong Jiao, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Chukars the 4-3 win.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Fernando Mendoza, the Idaho Falls skipper.
Idaho Falls is now 40-35.
