Hounds Collect 3-1 Win Over Otters
|
Ballpark of Hughesville was the site of a tense game between the Tulsa Otters and Hicksville Hounds.
The Hicksville Hounds beat the Tulsa Otters, 3-1, at Ballpark of Hughesville. Starting pitcher Javier Dávila was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Jason Ford earned the save, his 3rd.
Hicksville used the clutch hitting of Lyndon Cannon to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hounds ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Cannon told the Hicksville Bulletin. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
With the win, Hicksville elevates its record to 3-5.
