Crossbeaus Rally For 3-2 Win
|
The Redwood Rhinos got a superb performance from pitcher Devaprasada Mainak, but the Beaumont Crossbeaus still won the game, 3-2. Mainak threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Alfredo Ramos earned the save for Beaumont, his 4th of the year. Beaumont is off to a hot start at 6-2.
Beaumont used the timely hitting of Gordon Wyatt to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Crossbeaus on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good win for us," said Wyatt. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
