Lakers Pick Up 2-1 Win
|
Echo Park Lakers starter Ryan Riley was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Seattle Rocketeers, 2-1. Riley, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 6 walks. Danny Kas earned the save for Echo Park, his 3rd.
Ruhinda Kirkconnell was vital part of the Echo Park win. He went 1-3. In the top of the fifth with no one out, Kirkconnell hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Lakers.
"Ryan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun.
