Flanderses Squelch Puffer Fish Offense in Shutout Win
|
Plattsburgh had no answer for Hudsonville Flanderses hurler Lloyd Anderson, who overwhelmed Puffer Fish hitters as the Flanderses coasted to victory, 6-0. Anderson got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 hit and walked 1 over 5 innings. Anderson allowed no runs. The win has Hudsonville at 2-2.
Qing-lai Li dealt the Puffer Fish a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases empty and Hudsonville leading 1-0, Li hit a 2-2 changeup for a solo home run.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Hudsonville manager Mark Davis. "Our pregame was pretty good."
