Fok Shackles Lake Erie in 5-1 Hobeaus Win
|
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus defeated the Lake Erie Arryns, 5-1, in USPL Single A action at Arryns Ballpark. Smoky Mountain pitcher Ka-pa Fok had a standout performance. The 8th-place Arryns have dropped 7 straight games.
Fok, the winner, is now 5-4 after putting the clamps on the Lake Erie offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 9 Ks.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Sammy Bannatyne, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
