Kingfishers Get Past Boston for 3-2 Win
The Pittsburgh Kingfishers took Boston pitcher Martin Luther's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score had Pittsburgh getting past the Patriots, 3-2. Luther went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. The win belongs to Curt Howard in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Victor Jones took the loss for Boston. The Patriots are now 6-10.

Gustavo Gonzáles, the two-time Gold Glove winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gonzáles contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 3-2.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson.
