Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Eugene Vandals got the win.

The Eugene Vandals got a stellar performance from pitcher José Salinas, who handcuffed the Lake Erie offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Arryns Ballpark. Earning his 2nd save for Eugene was Roberto Saldaña.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jung-heum Kim? The Eugene left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vandals on top, 3-0. For the game, Kim had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Tough loss," said Lake Erie manager Sammy Bannatyne. "But we'll learn from it."

The last-place Vandals are 5-25.
