The Laredo Hawks and Myrtle Beach Seahawks obliged fans looking for a good time.
The Laredo Hawks topped the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 5-4, in USPL Single A action at Hawks Field. The standout performance belonged to Laredo pitcher and Strongsville, Ohio, native James Chase. Laredo, now 9-11, holds down 7th place in the Premier A.
Laredo took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when António López hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Hawks fans to their feet.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Chase said.
