Gallos Squelch Yellows Offense in Shutout Win
In a low-scoring game between the Delmarva Gallos and the Yucca Valley Yellows, pitcher Fokke Kaspers was masterful on the mound. The Delmarva right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-0 win. The winning pitcher was Kaspers, now 6-4. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. With the win, Delmarva raised its record to 36-34.

Jim Mitchell drove in one run for Delmarva. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Julius Angrenny. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mitchell told the Delmarva Herald.
