8-5 Loss Deepens Kennesaw Funk

The Levittown Blue Dragons defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 8-5, in USSL Single A action at The Cave at Levittown. Levittown pitcher Ted Browning had a standout performance. Browning got the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Browning allowed 1 run. José Márquez earned the save for Levittown, his 8th of the year.
The Blue Dragons got an important contribution from first baseman Gustavo Pérez, who in the bottom of the third hit a fastball into right for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Blue Dragons ahead, 3-0.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Kennesaw manager Cristián Sandoval.
Their 40-29 record puts the Blue Dragons 4th in the Silver A.
