Morgan Powers Yellows Offense
|
The exploits of catcher Albert Morgan helped the Yucca Valley Yellows defeat the Grim Reapers, 7-0. Morgan went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Joe Anthony earned the win for Yucca Valley. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 5-2. The save was credited to William Stone, his 1st.
Morgan made an early impact for Yucca Valley when he stroked his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Yellows on top, 6-0.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Morgan.
The losses continue to add up for Grim, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
