Hobeaus Sneak By Hawks, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus and the Laredo Hawks, Cenek Stensel was the difference-maker. The Smoky Mountain right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. With the win, Smoky Mountain climbs to 3-0.
Smoky Mountain used the clutch hitting of O-min Yi to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Hobeaus the lead, 2-1. For the game, Yi had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Laredo manager Marv Bradford. "Obviously."
