Flamingos Lose By a Run at Baltimore, 5-4
The Baltimore Bullets did just enough to sneak past the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-4, at Baltimore Grounds. Baltimore pitcher Yong-zhan Long, in particular, had a standout performance. Long picked up the win for Baltimore, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The save went to Ron Lucas, his 1st this season.

The Flamingos had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Bullets going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 2047 Outstanding Hitter Award winner Jorge Rocha came to the plate. Rocha hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 splitter from Las Vegas hurler Francisco Hernández. It was Rocha's 6th double of the year.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck.

The win gives Baltimore a record of 6-4.
