Anthony Delivers 2-1 Win
Dragoons War Memorial Stadium was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Yucca Valley Yellows eked out a 2-1 win versus the Monroeville Yinzers at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Joe Anthony. He was terrific. José Vargas earned the save for Yucca Valley, his 2nd.

Anthony, who dominated for Yucca Valley, earned the victory to move to 2-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. Monroeville batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"I had everything working," said Anthony.

Yucca Valley is now 27-23.
