Hurricanes Get 5-0 Win Versus Echo Park
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Cape Coral Hurricanes and Echo Park Lakers.
The Cape Coral Hurricanes topped the Echo Park Lakers, 5-0, in United States Silver League action at LA Forum. The standout performance belonged to Cape Coral pitcher and Gulfport, Mississippi, native Forest Bell. Echo Park now has a record of 5-4.
In the bottom of the eighth, Ronald Lithgoe stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Lakers were trailing 5-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Kenny McFadden made a terrific pitch and Lithgoe grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Echo Park comeback.
