Belcher Shines in 8-0 Monroeville Win
|
Theo Belcher knocked in 5 runs to help Monroeville beat Kennesaw, 8-0. The left fielder collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. At 29-19, the Yinzers are currently first in the Silver A.
With Monroeville leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Belcher came up to bat against Kennesaw pitcher Hideyoshi Sasaki. Belcher hit a changeup to left for a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season put the Yinzers on top, 5-0.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Monroeville manager Fred Leos.
