In a tight game between the South Beach Blaze and the Kingston Mangos, pitcher Francisco Encarnación was terrific on the mound. The South Beach right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. Encarnación, now 4-3, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Jeff Cook sewed up the save, his 3rd.

Ronman Arcilla, the 22-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Arcilla contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put South Beach up, 2-0.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Encarnación.
