Loss to Blaze Extends Kennesaw Losing Streak
|
The South Beach Blaze beat the Kennesaw Jets, 3-0. South Beach designated hitter and Espiritu Santo, Costa Rica, native Francisco Encarnación led the way. Aaron Houghton, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Kennesaw is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.
The Blaze grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out, Orlando Figoroa hit a solo home run off Ming Lin, putting South Beach in front, 2-0. For Figoroa, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"We're in a funk right now," said Kennesaw skipper Cristián Sandoval.
