Grim pitcher Iván Ferreira did his part in helping his team beat the Levittown Blue Dragons, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Marc Potts closed the door for Grim, picking up his 8th save of the year. Grim is now 17-20, Levittown 23-14.
Had José Sánchez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Sánchez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Reapers.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Ferreira, "and go after the next one."
