Victory Takes Yinzers to 21-11
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Monroeville Yinzers eventually prevailed.
The Monroeville Yinzers scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Delmarva Gallos at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Monroeville pitcher Rich Baker held his own in the contest. Ed Jenkins finished the game for Monroeville and earned his 2nd save.
Christian McIntosh chipped in for Monroeville, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3.
After the game, Monroeville manager Fred Leos applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
With the win, the Yinzers sit at 21-11.
