Mangos Defeat Reapers, 4-3
|
The Kingston Mangos handed the Grim Reapers a loss at Mango Yard. The final score was 4-3. Anthony Espinoza was one of the major contributors for Kingston. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 3. Uljas Linkomies snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 3-1 on the season. With the victory, the Mangos record now stands at 18-13.
The Mangos relied on left fielder Lee Wells for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Wells said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
