Bullets Beat Grey Wolves, 7-1
|
The Baltimore Bullets picked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, knocking off the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 7-1. Starting pitcher Dave Lewis played a key role in the triumph. Lewis, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. With the win, Baltimore climbs to 3-4.
The Bullets got a big at-bat from right fielder Julián Flores. For the game, Flores went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Baltimore a 3-0 lead.
"Dave did a tremendous job," said Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck.
