Reapers Pick Up 6-3 Win
|
The Grim Reapers topped the Delmarva Gallos, 6-3, in USSL Single A action at The Cage. The standout performance belonged to Grim pitcher and Fairfield, Iowa, native Randy Crane. With their winning streak at 4, the Reapers have raced to a strong start this season.
Tied up with the Gallos in the top of the fifth inning, the Reapers got a boost from right fielder José Serrano. With the bases loaded, Serrano saw a 1-0 fastball from Eddie Daniel and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Grim on top, 3-1.
Serrano said his team "played with focus."
