Mangos Edge Past Jets, 3-2
|
The Kingston Mangos had to overcome a fine effort from Kennesaw pitcher Bill Cole to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Mango Yard. Cole went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Uljas Linkomies, now 2-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 1. With the win, Kingston is 7-2.
Anthony Espinoza electrified the crowd in the bottom of the 12th when he took Kennesaw pitcher Henry Boaden deep. His solo home run sent the Mangos home winners.
"This joint was rocking," said Espinoza.
