The Levittown Blue Dragons got a strong performance from pitcher David Fisher, who stymied the South Beach offense en route to a win, 3-1, at The Ballpark on the Beach. South Beach is 4-4 after the defeat.
Levittown used a clutch hit from Edward Hankins to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Dragons ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We've got a great group of guys," Fisher said, "and we're having fun right now."
