Reapers Win at Delmarva, 4-2
|
The Cage was the site of the home opener for the Delmarva Gallos. The contest featured a prime matchup between Cliff Scarlett of the visiting Grim Reapers and Gilbert Owen of the Gallos. The final score was 4-2, the Reapers getting the win. Gilbert Owen turned in the best performance. Grim reliever Albert Silver picked up the win, while Gilbert Owen took the loss for Delmarva. The save was credited to Marc Potts, his 1st.
Grim used the clutch hitting of Frazer Gent to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Reapers the lead, 3-1. For the game, Gent had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
