Yellows Knock Off Walleye at Walleye Tank
|
Walleye Tank was the site of the home opener for the Walla Walla Walleye. The contest featured a prime matchup between Alan Sanderson of the visiting Yucca Valley Yellows and Patrick Davis of the Walleye. The final score was 8-2, the Yellows getting the win. Alan Sanderson turned in the best performance.
Yucca Valley used a well-timed hit by Ron Warren to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Yellows ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Sanderson.
