Dominant Performance by Joubert in Virginia Beach Win
|
Virginia Beach Whales starter Robert Joubert turned in a sterling performance against the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Ricardo Corona, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. The third-place Whales have won 4 straight.
Joubert's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 3 hits. Joubert, who leads the PAA with a 10.6 K/9 rate, goes to 7-3 on the year with 123 strikeouts.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Joubert said.
