Ogres Win at Ft. Polk South, 2-1

The Olympia Ogres faced a tough opponent in Ft. Polk South pitcher Teddy Barnes, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Thunder Hawks Ballpark by a final score of 2-1. Barnes went 8.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Olympia starter Wilson Silva was credited with the win after throwing 94 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 4-7. The Ogres raised their record to 41-59.
It could have been a different outcome for Olympia, had it not been for Angus Fyfe, the 24-year old right fielder . Fyfe contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Olympia up, 2-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Fyfe.
