The Ithaca Fighting Imps topped the Olympia Ogres, 6-3, in USPL Double A action at Imps Park. The standout performance belonged to Ithaca pitcher and Santa Teresa, Venezuela, native Ánibal Fernández. Mario Méndez notched his 20th save in 24 chances. At 47-52, the Fighting Imps are currently 4th in the Premier AA.
Fernández, a native of Santa Teresa, Venezuela, was dealing all game. He kept Olympia hitters off-balance, while giving the Fighting Imps 6.1 quality innings. Fernández threw 93 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 6.
