Krewe Squelch Whales Offense in Shutout Win
Right-hander Fraser Chambers mesmerized the Virginia Beach Whales while leading the Crescent City Krewe to a 5-0 victory. Jeff Lynch was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities. Crescent City, at 65-24, is 7½ games up in the Premier AA.

Crescent City used a well-timed hit by Dave Martin to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Krewe ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Martin called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
