Fighting Imps Lose Again, 5-0, to Krewe
Crescent City pitcher Melvin Riley did his part in helping his team beat the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Krewe, now 64-23, have won 4 in a row.

The Krewe got an important contribution from catcher Dave Martin, who in the top of the fifth hit a full count fastball into right for a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Krewe ahead, 2-0.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Gary Thomas, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
