Turbeaus Best Rails, 10-6
|
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus beat the Richland Rails, 10-6. Gulf Coast pitcher and Mexico City, Mexico, native Luis Barrios led the way. Barrios picked up the win for Gulf Coast, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-5. The Turbeaus improved to 38-42.
Gulf Coast used a clutch hit from David Bailey to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Turbeaus ahead, 8-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager León Domínguez.
